Make Your Own Motor Stop

An inexpensive way to update your existing Power Chute to lessen motor failure due to impact damage. By drilling one 3/8" hole
and mounting a single bolt and nut you can have the same updates as all new Power Chutes being manufactured today.
Caution:  DO NOT drill any holes or mount any bolts in a location that would interfere
with engaged blade movement. This could cause damage or bodily harm.

Mark the location for the bolt hole to be drilled so the finished bolt/nut hits against the top of the motor mount when the
chute is fully  opened as shown in the photos. DO NOT allow the bolt threads to protrude further than the outside of the nut face
when the chute is in the fully closed position (inside of the deck in the environment of the mower blades). Make sure the threaded
end of the bolt goes no further than flush with the outside of the nut. Drill size and bolt/nut should be 3/8".
Be sure to drill the hole in a location far enough away from the linkage attachment point on the
chute so the bolt/nut will not interfere with the movement of the linkage.
